Issues that need addressing in Tallahassee:

The residents of Tallahassee have seen the misdirected leadership, and uncommunicative officials currently sitting on the City Commission. Due to blueprints, and decisions being made without public input, residents are suffering. In 2019 $500,000 was stolen from the City of Tallahassee and in 2024 we were attacked again losing $1,000,000 from the City. We had community concerns about the Tallahassee Police Body Camera & a City Commissioner contacted City Manager Reese Goad, to which he responded "No Thanks". We need City Commissioners to hold our city officials and Police Department accountable. City Manager Reese Goad also communicated to the City Commission that the cutting down of twenty oak trees native to Tallahassee would be held off until other solutions were sought, but were cut down two hours later without an hour's notice. While all of this was going on Dianne Williams Cox failed to hold Reese Goad responsible.

The Violent crime rate in Tallahassee is almost double the national average, and it is clear that John Dailey and Dianne Williams Cox have no plan to address this issue in the future. Asking the Police Chief what he is doing isn't effective, and doesn't stop crime. We need to explore programs for youth to stay away from bad influences in schools and on the street, we need to fund our police to have de-escalation training, and training on crime scene investigation and response time.

Affordable housing has been seen as "rare" these days in the city, with the city commission voting 2-3 on increasing property taxes by 9%, to them focusing on the high-income, and college kids of this town, rather than the Tallahassee Natives and low-income areas. These unfocused leaders are causing a crisis in the City of Tallahassee that no one can risk experiencing, and some of us already have.

Reese Goad has done plenty enough to help worsen the environment in urban neighborhoods and through the city of Tallahassee. His misdirected communication and leadership as only brought consequences for future generations of Talahassians, due to him, forests, waterways, and native trees are being destroyed for developments that Tallahassee residents have put public concern about. Lake Ella is being polluted. The current Tallahassee City Commission ignores these concerns, these issues to get campaign donations and funds for themselves. Selfish.
